Levinson v. Westport National Bank

WhatleyKallas lawyers are lead counsel and have been appointed class counsel to a certified class of hundreds of retirees and small investors who lost the bulk of their retirement savings in the aftermath of the Bernard Madoff scandal.  These investors, each of whose resources were too modest on their own to qualify to invest with Madoff, did so through a local bank that pooled investors’ money into an account held in the bank’s name at Madoff’s company.  The action alleges that the bank breached numerous contractual and fiduciary duties to the investors in its administration of their accounts.
