HUMANA REPORTS STRONG FIRST QUARTER 2024 PROFITS AND REVENUES BEATING ANALYSTS’ EXPECTATIONS

Humana, Inc. has reported strong first quarter 2024 profits of $741 million.  Humana also posted strong first quarter revenues of $29.6 billion, up from $25 billion in the prior year quarter. Humana’s first quarter profits and revenues both exceeded analysts’ expectations.

Humana reported $28.7 billion in revenue in its insurance segment, due in part to increased membership growth in both individual and group Medicare Advantage plans. Humana increased its projected 2024 membership growth in Medicare Advantage to 150,000 members, which would be a 2.8% increase.

Based on its strong first quarter earnings, Humana affirmed its projections of adjusted earnings per share of $16 for 2024.

Unfortunately, the attorneys of Whatley Kallas, LLP are seeing health insurance companies, including Humana, deny and underpay legitimate inpatient claims of our provider clients, a practice that has no doubt added to Humana’s profits.
